Big Easy Roller Girls Battle Hard in Pair of Losses by Vieux Careen Saturday was a busy day for the ladies of the Big Easy Roller Girls. While the Crescent Wenches battled for a second regular season win at home, the All Stars traveled nearly 400 miles, searching for their first victory of 2012. Unfortunately, neither team was able to grasp the “W” and the All Stars came home defeated from a stunning 270-28 loss and the Wenches lost 122-91 in a close, but fierce, bout. Big Easy Rollergirls Split Saturday's Home Opener by Vieux Careen Live, local rollerderby action returned to the Lakefront Saturday, as the Big Easy Rollergirls rolled for the first time at the UNO Human Performance Center. The local squads went 1-1 on the night, as the Crescent Wenches topped the Montgomery, Alabama, River Region Rollergirls, while the Big Easy Rollergirl All Stars battled it out to a tough defeat at the hands of the Cape Fear RG from Wilmington, North Carolina. Both battles were fierce, promising an exciting season on the track.
