Hornets Out of Key in Jazz LossFriday night’s 95-83 loss to the Utah Jazz was another typical loss for the Hornets, marked by youth and inconsistency. Our bench went 2-of-25 from the field, with Ryan Anderson’s 10 misses leading the way. We didn’t get a lot of our starters either, especially after Eric Gordon got into a shouting match with coach Monty Williams. The result was a very unbalanced offense to compliment our mediocre defense. The Hornets fell to 26-50, the sixth-worst record in the league. Jazz Trump Hornets, 96-84by Kerem Ozkan The Hornets returned to their losing ways at home last night in a 96-84 loss to the dastardly Utah Jazz. New Orleans finds themselves at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 4-10 record. Hornets Buzz Past Jazz, 88-86by Kerem Ozkan The Hornets notched their first win tonight, escaping a formidable Utah Jazz squad with clutch play from Ryan Anderson and Greivis Vasquez down the stretch. Thanks to a game-winning shot from Vasquez, the Bees pulled out a 88-86 victory to go 1-1 on the season. Oh, and Anthony Davis has a concussion. Today's Events: 4/11/11April 11th, the day that the Treaty of Fontainebleau ended the War of the Sixth Coalition against Napoleon (1814), the launch of Apollo 13 (1970), the creation of Apple 1, Vincent Gallo’s birth (1962), Kurt Vonnegut Jr’s death (2007), and the most boring day of the year since 1900.
Well, New Orleans says boring no more for 4/11 in ‘11, and fills out this Monday with enriching opportunities for the taking. |
