Crescent City Crime BitsNew Orleans Police Blotter: April 18-25, 2012On this week’s menu of malfeasance, a spate of hold-ups broke out Uptown, schools made for easy pickings for several thieves, and a wheel barrow and a box of chocolates were among the sweeter grabs. Every week, Crescent City Crme Bits gives a rundown on the lowdown. Uptown Robberies ContinueOn the heels of a weekend during which Uptown saw seven robberies earlier this month, crimes in the district continued to cluster over the last week. Early on Sunday, May 22, the growing fears surrounding the robberies sadly manifested when a 32-year-old man was shot in an attempted mugging near the corner of S. Saratoga and Jena Sts. |
