SDT-TV Returning to Fox


Don’t call it a comeback but, Sidney Torres is renewing his relations with the little screen. THR reportedthat Fox picked up ‘APB,’ a television series based on a NYT articles about SDT titled, “Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans.” Unlike, the ill fated Trashmen, the new drama will not be a reality show meaning the Trashanova won’t receive screen time.


Saints 2016 Schedule


Ready for football yet? The Saints released their 2016 schedule on Thursday (4.14) night— and it’s a tough one. The Black n’ Gold were handed the fourth most difficult schedule (statistically) in the league.


Overnight Crime Report: Shooting, Armed robbery, 2 Unclassified Deaths


Crime was down on Tuesday (3.15) according the Major Offense Log (MOL). The New Orleans Police Department reported a shooting, an armed robbery, and two unclassified deaths.


TV Sinner?


Sean Payton may have another challenge during the preseason. A new report from Mike Florio of NBCSN professes that the Saints are concerned about being forced to star in the next season of “Hard Knocks.”


Tiger TV


LSU baseball takes the mound in about a month and there will be plenty of opportunity to watch the Purple n’ Gold. For the second year running, all 56 of the team’s regular season games will be televised. (The post-season will, of course, also be televised, but that run has been short for the Tigers in the past two years).


Dome to Trade Breesus for Jesus?


Celeb whisperer Roger Friedman is reporting that Fox television is about to get all sorts of evangelical at da Dome. A made-for-television spectacle focused on the story of Jesus’ last supper is set to be broadcast live from New Orleans on Palm Sunday according to ShowBiz411


Shorty & the Tall Men (Watch New Pelicans Open)


The Pelicans have plenty fodder for highlight reels, but when it comes to a soundtrack, the edit suite had to call in a native New Orleanian. Today, Fox Sports rolled out a new opening segment featuring Trombone Shorty to air during the Birds’ 2015 season.

Boy Missing After Mother Takes Away Phone


One teenager did not react well to being punished. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) are requesting public assistance in the search for a 14-year-old boy who went missing after his mother took away the teen’s electronics.
