Shania Twain to Bring Country Pop to NOLA


She’s still the one. A few weeks shy of the September 29th release of Shania Twain’s long-anticipated fifth album Now  her first in fifteen years! — the Canadian country pop star announced a major North American tour that will bring her to the arena next summer. 


Comedy Get Down to Come to NOLA for Round Deux


Even in a city as dominated by artists as New Orleans, rarely do you get the opportunity to experience the top talents in an industry under one roof. Four living comedy legends aim to remedy that, as Cedric The Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and George Lopez are scheduled to stop by NOLA in an epic fall show. 


Arcade Fire Announce New Album, Fall Show in NOLA


Thursday (6.1) was a big day for Arcade Fire, as the band dropped the first single off of their forthcoming fifth album, scheduled for release July 28th through Columbia Records. The Canadian rockers also announced that they will swing by NOLA this fall as part of their major North American tour. 


Katy Perry to ‘Witness’ NOLA on New Tour


Pop singer Katy Perry announced on Monday (5.15) the cities that she will drop by on her new arena tour. The new tour will be in support of her new album Witness, which the singer announced will be released on June 9th. 


Trombone Shorty Drops New Single ‘No Good Time’


New Orleans' favorite son Trombone Shorty made two big announcements this week ahead of the Friday release of his new album, Parking Lot Sympathy. On Monday (4.24), the Treme-raised bandleader dropped a new single called "No Good Time" and unveiled the fall dates for his 2017 tour with his band Orleans Avenue. 


Tank and the Bangas Announce NPR Tour Dates


Tank and the Bangas announced on Wednesday (4.5) the cities they'll drop by on their NPR Tiny Desk tour, presented by Lagunitas Brewing Company. Last month, National Public Radio (NPR) announced the local NOLA band to be the winner of their annual Tiny Desk Contest, which sources artists from across the country to select the top talent in the current music scene. 


'Welcome to Night Vale' Comes to New Orleans


Turn on your radio and hide, Night Vale fans. It was announced Monday (4.3) that the mysterious, almost-David Lynchian podcast will return to New Orleans this summer for a live recording at the Civic Theatre


Hello Dolly?


Dolly! Country music icon Dolly Parton is coming to NOLA—maybe. A social media announcement on Friday (5.13) revealed that the songstress will be wrapping up her fall tour at the Smoothie King Center on November 30th. However, the postings then disappeared.


Bey to Bring her Honey to NOLA


Last year, Beyonce spent a lot of time in Louisiana during shoots for her “Formation” and “Lemonade” videos, but the Crescent City did not make the cut for a tour to support the new projects. On Thursday (5.05), the Queen Bey remedied that omission, adding a NOLA stop to the Formation World Tour.


Hotline Sing: Drake & Kraftwerk Coming to NOLA


It’s easy to forget, but music in New Orleans will continue after Fest Season. Today, hip hop artist Drake and electronica pioneers Kraftwerk both announced September shows in the Crescent City.
