Soon, the humidity will yield to humanity and autumn will arrive bringing with it a cavalcade of culture. The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) are making preparations for the city’s annual reboot. Today, the French Quarter institution released the schedule for the eighth annual Concerts in the Courtyard series. The event Gal Holiday and the Honkey Tonk Revue, Banu Gibson and Little Freddie King.

For the next few months, NOLA will be blanketed with (even more) music lovers. The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) may be a museum, but they will not be left out. Today, the French Quarter institution released the schedule for the eighth annual Concerts in the Courtyard series. The monthly series will get started with the Lost Bayou Ramblers on March 13.

Sometimes, the past is best celebrated by looking to the present. The Historic New Orleans Collection THNOC) will fete over two centuries of local art with a show featuring additions made over the past four years in the organization’s newest gallery. THNOC just opened “Recent Acquisitions in Louisiana Art, 2010–2014”.

In the midst of the 300+ emerging and established artists being showcased in P3+, Xiao Xiao’s exhibition truly stands out as both awe inspiring and as a bit of a mind boggler. Xiao Xiao (pronounced Sh-ih-ow, Sh-ih-ow) is both an artist and a technologist. In her most recent work, she fuses both skills with her NOLA upbringing to create a stirring homage to the piano music of the Crescent City.

Labor Day is nearly upon us which means soon New Orleanians will be back in town, music will be playing, and drinks will drunk. The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) is also gearing up for fall. Today, the French Quarter institution released the schedule for the seventh annual Concerts in the Courtyard series. The monthly series will get started with Debbie Davis and the Mesmerizers on September 19th.
