Pour Job: NOLA Chefs Star in Coca-Cola Ad Campaign

Be it jambalaya and Sazeracs or po-boys and Abita, the union of food and beverage is the holiest of matrimonies in the Crescent City. A new campaign “Serve with a Coca-Cola” enlisted several top New Orleans chefs to do just that — with Aarón Sánchez of Johnny Sánchez and Byron Bradley of Sylvain offering meals to pair with the soda in a series of new ads.

Bloody Good: Howlin Wolf’s Bloody Mary Festival

It seems a perfect union: Bloody Mary, the perfect hangover restorative brunch drink. Sunday, the day of rest... and for the heathens among us, the day of brunch. The team at Howlin Wolf has done the city a favor, teaming up with the Bloody Mary Liberation Party to scour New Orleans for the finest beverages to nurse our post-Saturday night fevers and shakes at their Bloody Mary Festival

Raising the Bars

LeBlanc & Bodenheimer Team Up for a Cause

A pair of local restauranteurs are hosting a fundraiser, and there will not be beaux-arts theaters or large foundations involved. Instead, Robert LeBlanc (LeBlanc & Smith) and Neil Bodenheimer (CureCo) are doing what they do best, throwing a party with great food and cocktails, to help a child battling Leukemia.

So Fresh and So Green: Hollygrove's Garden Party

Whether you buy their veggies straight from the source or eat them plated at restaurants like Tivoli & Lee, most NOLA folks have enjoyed produce from Hollygrove Market (8301 Olive Street). Tomorrow night, the farm’s fans can show some love at the nonprofit’s Fourth Annual Party in the Garden.

All You Hold Beer

Avenue Pub, Local Bars Plan Menu of Tasting, Crawls to Celebrate American Craft Beer Week

New Orleans’ fourth Craft Beer Week is almost here, so put your drinking pants on and get ready to learn about that American industry that combines the ruggedly individual spirit of drinking something that isn't Bud or Miller, and the very communal act of gathering over a brew.

Cocktail of the Week: Sylvain: The 'Dutch Afro'

By Laine Kaplan-Levenson

FRENCH QUARTER - A mere block from the historic St. Louis Cathedral rests one of the newest cracks at contemporary cuisine to grace the downtown scene. Named after Andre Getry and Jean-Francois-Marmontel’s 1796 one-act comic opera, Sean McCusker's Sylvain (a NoDef Nodder) takes a modern culinary approach that has been luring locals into the heart of the Quarter for nightly dinners and weekend brunch since it's opening on 10/10/10.
