Spring Lineup for Wednesday at the Square Drops

The next week of Carnival is sure to be a blur, but after the bleachers at Lafayette Square come down, a stage will go up. The Young Leadership Council (YLC) Wednesdays at the Square series is slated to return March 2nd. Today, organizers revealed the season’s schedule.

Spring Ahead

It’s that time of the year again. Early on Sunday (3.07) morning, Daylight Savings Time (DST) begins. That means that the sun comes out a little later, but the rays linger later in the evening. The change officially goes into effect at 2:00a.m. and the longer days will last until November 1.

Treme Tunes: Spring 2015 Armstrong Park Concert Schedule Released

Tis’ the season for lineup announcements. Today, People United for Armstrong Park (PUFAP) rolled out the spring schedule for Jazz in the Park. The free series running from April 16 through June 11 will include performances by Kermit Ruffins, Soul Rebels, Honey Island Swamp Band, Raw Oyster Cult, James Andrews, The Honorable South, Glen David Andrews and New Breed Brass Band.

On Wednesday, the New Orleans Museum of Art rings in the first official day of spring with their 25th annual Art in Bloom fundraiser. From March 20 to March 24, NOMA salutes spring with a series of lecture seminars, fashion shows, and an auction.
