For two weeks, New Orleans has been inundated with coverage of the Katrina/Federal Flood. And more than a few locals are sick of it. In particular, the City’s official slogan “resilient” is drawing fire. After a week of social media backlash, viral signs are now popping up to critique the catchphrase.

Signs springing up around LaSalle Street are warning locals about an animal quarantine. The only problem is that there is actually no animal quarantine. Further, the issuing “agency” does not exist.

Occupy New Orleans began its demonstration Thursday at noon. The group chose Orleans Parish Prison as the location to begin its march. This decision reflected the risk that some of the movement’s protestors may have ended their participation there.
