Jazz Fest Weather Watch

The skies are getting dark just in time to guarantee that the Fair Grounds will be appropriately muddy for Jazz Fest’s second weekend. Most of Louisiana, including Orleans Parish, is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 3p.m. according the National Weather Service (NWS). The agency also predicts chances of showers throughout the Fest, save for a clear Saturday (4.30).

Weekly Weather & Tropical Outlook: 9.29-10.03

Scattered afternoon and evening showers this afternoon through tonight  are a distinct possiblity with highs near 80, and lows overnight in the low 70's. Not much change is expected through Thursday with a 30 percent chance of rain each day. Come Friday, the first real Fall Cold Front will push through into the Gulf and bring overnight lows in the mid 50's to North Shore and low 60's to the South Shore this weekend.
