Bayou Boogaloo Returns This Weekend

Mid City has its own personality and accordingly its own festival. The Bayou Boogaloo, a.k.a. The Little Fest That Could, will be returning this weekend. The banks of the Bayou St. John will once again be lined with tents and stages for one of the city’s best events.

Rebel Music (Fest)

In New Orleans, we seem to have a festival for just about everything-almost. Last year, five friends realized that despite New Orleans’ position as the north-most city in the Caribbean, there is no longer a fest for the music and culture. Enter the Roots Reggae Culture Festival which just dropped the lineup for two days of jammin’ in June.

Commencement Schedules for NOLA's Universities

For some portions of the City, this time of year is not Fest Season, but Commencement Season. Caps and gowns have already taken flight at Dillard and SUNO, but Tulane, Loyola, UNO, and Xavier will all be distributing sheepskins in the days ahead. With dozens of events, it’s easy to be confused. NoDef has the full schedules for the local schools below.

City Park Drops "Thursdays at Twilight" Lineup

As Fest Season enters the final leg, New Orleans is looking ahead to the popular outdoor concerts that provide our weekly dose of live music. Today, City park dropped the lineup for their “Thursdays at Twilight” series. Bruce Daigrepont, John Boutté, and the Pfister Sisters are just a few of the familiar names on the roster.

Wednesdays at the Point Drops 2016 Lineup

Wednesdays at the Square are in full force right now, but as season winds down, it’s time to look forward to Wednesdays at the Point. The popular series in Algiers Point dropped their 2016 schedule today.

NOWFE Bulks Up Lineup for 2016

The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE) is really kicking it up in 2016. The ever-popular Royal Street Stroll and the GrandTasting will return, but they will be supplemented by an impressive roster of special events ranging from fishing with Donald Link to a Franco-Spanish Hog War.

Saints 2016 Schedule

Ready for football yet? The Saints released their 2016 schedule on Thursday (4.14) night— and it’s a tough one. The Black n’ Gold were handed the fourth most difficult schedule (statistically) in the league.

Saints' Scrimmages

It’s never too early for Who Dat Nation to get ready for some football. On Thursday (4.07), the Saints released their full schedule and plans for the preseason.

Bayou Boogaloo Drops 2016 Lineup

Most locals are focused on the massive French Quarter Fest sweeping the Vieux Carré this weekend. However, the season is just beginning and the organizers of the annual Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo dropped their lineup for their free fete from May 20th through 22nd.
