Riverbend: Cooter Brown's Robbed (UPDATED)


Cooter Brown's Tavern was robbed early Thursday morning, according to New Orleans police. About 4:30 a.m., two masked men walked into the Riverbend watering hole located at 609 S. Carrollton Ave., according to an incident report from NOPD.


Crime Bits: Marigny Ice Shop Robbed, 4-Wheeler Stolen in N.O. East

As the heat picked up in New Orleans, at least one criminal's mind may have turned toward cooling down. Police are searching for suspects in weekend robberies at a Marigny ice supplier, and a pair of New Orleans East robberies.


Brothers Booked in CBD Beating


Two-thirds of the terrible trio are behind bars. With help from Crimestoppers tip and a video that showed the grisly crime, police arrested a pair of brothers in connection with the brutal Sunday morning CBD beating and robbery. A third suspect is still at-large, police said.

Three men administered a brutal beating in the CBD early Sunday morning to take a man's wallet and cell phone. About 3:45 a.m., a man and woman were walking in the 400 block of Carondelet Street. Video shows three men - one in cook's pants and one with a towel hanging from his belt - walking separately, then quickly surround the couple. The man is then hit from behind. NOPD Looking for Trio of Downtown Robbery Suspects (VIDEO)


Whether resembling a young Ron Swanson or hiding under the cover of night, thieves can't hide from the watchful eye of surveillance cameras. New Orleans police are searching for three people wanted in connection with separate Central Business District and French Quarter thefts. 


CBD, Esplanade Ave. Robbery Suspects on the Loose (VIDEO)


A pair of early week armed robberies on opposite edges of the French Quarter have NOPD searching for suspects. In one incident, a man was forced to empty his pockets on Esplanade. In another that was caught on video, a man was robbed while sitting in his car in the CBD.


Mid-City Streetcar Stop Robbery Suspect Sketched


NOPD released a sketch of the man who they believe robbed two people while waiting for the streetcar on Canal St. this week. About 11:30 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old man and woman aged 22 and 24 were waiting at at the streetcar stop at the intersection of Canal and N. Lopez Sts., when a man approached with his right hand in his pocket.


Take Five: Arrest Ends French Quarter Robbery Rampage


Between Wednesday and Saturday, NOPD investigated five separate armed robberies in the French Quarter. Police allege all of the crimes were the work of one man. As of Sunday, this Vieux Carre villian was behind bars, according to NOPD.


Suspect Sought in French Quarter Parking Garage Purse Pilfer (VIDEO)


New Orleans police are investigating a Saturday morning parking garage robbery in the French Quarter, and released video of the incident in hopes of tracking down the suspect. About 6 a.m., a woman was walking back to her car in a parking garage in the 200 block of N. Rampart St., and was stopped by a man who looked to be in his early 20s, according to police.


Robber Wearing Wig Takes Cash, Cell Phones From Mid-City Store (VIDEO)


Tuesday saw a French Quarter robber wearing a chef's hat, but that wasn't the only criminal headgear on display. Shortly before 4 p.m. in Mid-City, a man wearing a wig casually walked up to the counter of a store in the 3300 block of Bienville St., and pulled a pistol.
