TGIF! Maybe you couldn’t find time to celebrate National Oyster Day this week, but you can see Raw Oyster Cult for free tonight at Tipitina’s. And if you missed Mood Indigo at the French Film Fest, you can catch it at Zeitgeist this week. Plus, NOMA presents an evening of Latin American art appreciation, with a classic piece of Mexican cinema and a Spanish-language tour of their current exhibition. Details this evening:


JazzFest After Dark: 5.4.14


The music does not stop once the Fair Grounds close their gates. After Jazz Fest, there is a funk supergroup on Frenchmen Street, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk Uptown, a Cajun indie pop outfit Feufollet, and Raw Oyster Cult in the Riverbend.

French Quarter Fest closed out Sunday with clear skies and sets from New Orleans favorites, including Susan Cowsill, Little Freddie King, Lillian Boutte and many more. Photographers William Copen and Daniel Paschall were on hand to capture the action on the stages and in the crowds.
