We prayed for buckets of rain to put out the marsh fire in New Orleans East, and we got them. But there's going to be more this weekend. A tropical weather pattern is going to bring heavy rain to the city for the next five days, and Mayor Mitch is updating on the city on what we're doing about it, and the marsh fire's progress this afternoon. As you might remember, the NOPD has a minor stigma attached to it. Something about corruption. You also might remember that said Police Department was a bit resistant to outside investigation. However, between a new mayor, and the threat of a complete federal takeover, eventually, the Blue Line broke, and the Department of Justice opened an investigation.
