NOPD Suspends Two Cops After DWIs


There are two less cops on the streets after the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) issued a pair of emergency suspensions on Saturday (1.30). In separate incidents, a couple of cops were removed from active duty after finding themselves on the receiving end of DWI arrests according to the Department.


Motorist in East Dead After Officer Involved Shooting


What began as a traffic stop ended in death on Monday (12.14) morning. Police said that a New Orleans Police department (NOPD) officer fatally shot a motorist after receiving fire in New Orleans East.


Cop Suspended For Domestic Violence For A Second Time


One cop's disturbing history of domestic violence allegations escelated on Wednesday (10.14) night. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) that Fifth District Officer Robert Hurst was arrested yesterday in Chalmette for Simple Battery (domestic). The charge comes after a seperate domestic violence arrest last summer.


Cop Guilty of Raping 7-Year-Old


On Thursday (8.20) evening a 13 year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department was found guilty of raping a 7-year-old girl. The convict, Officer Michael Thomassie was immediately remanded to prison and suspended by the Department.


New Orleans Cop Charged With Hiding Evidence Before Boys Allegedly Shot Officer Holloway


Answers to the questions surrounding the shooting death of Officer Daryle Holloway are beginning to emerge. On Monday (7.06). New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Officer Wardell Johnson was placed on emergency suspension and arrested. He is accused of hiding evidence during the initial arrest of Travis Boys. Boys allegedly shot Holloway hours later.

In 2011, The Department of Justice (DOJ) notoriously dubbed the New Orleans Police Department’s paid detail program an “aorta of corruption.” Four years later, the NOPD is continuing to clean up the details. On Tuesday (2.24) another officer was suspended for alleged crimes linked to the system.

It’s been a tough time for the Rite Aid on the 3400 block of St. Charles Avenue. Thirsty thieves comitted two seperate robberies at the location. Elsewhere, the NOPD is dealing with some internal affairs. Officer Terrance Saulney was placed on emergency suspension after an incident involving unauthorized use of force.
