UNO Prez Peter Fos Steps Down



During his two and a half tenure as president of the University of New Orleans (UNO) Peter Fos has overseen a series of high profile cuts. On Monday (8.31), the university chief announced one more cut: himself. Fos will step down as President on January 1, 2016.


UNO Budget Woes Force Staff Cuts, Outsourcing


As a new school year starts, the University of New Orleans is girding for big cuts. The publicly-funded school has a budget hole of about $40 million. To make up for the losses, the school is doing everything from outsourcing the bookstore to reducing employee travel to shedding staff via firings and buyouts. The school detailed plans today.
