PANTyRAiD Gets Back to Bassik by Dan Goodman Rounding out 2011 is part one of a special holiday offering of WInter Circle Productions' monthly bass music inspired dance party BASSIK at the Republic this Thursday. As a special December treat, BASSIK has installed two special performances from some of the biggest names in bass music from across the globe. Tomorrow night spotlights two special acts from varying genres, melded together into one memorable bill: PANTyRAiD and AraabMUZIK. NoDef Nods10 in '10/11 in '11: Best Music Sure, we sent them the horns and the swing. The funk and the kings (of the street). But this year, NOLA exported some seriously diverse music from the provinces to the nation. Sniffin' Out the BeatsPANTyRAid Moves the Howlin' Wolf CBD -- The Howlin' Wolf hosted an evening of electronic music and late night partying Saturday, featuring New Orleans native Ooah (Josh Mayer) and MartyParty (Martin Folb). The duo is better known as PANTyRAiD. Over the past year, they've made their names throughout the festival circuit as dance party hosts.
