Lt. Gen. Russell Honoré Leads Enivro Group Aiming to Influence Legislature



Retired Lieutenant General Russell Honoré got famous after Katrina for restoring a semblance of order to the streets of New Orleans.  Mayor C. Ray Nagin called him “one John Wayne dude,” and he was branded “the Ragin’ Cajun” for his bravado.


Gulf Natural Gas Well Stops Leaking

The burning, blown out natural gas rig off the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico is no longer leaky, according to the feds. On Thursday morning, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said the gas well has "bridged over," meaning that sand and sediment flowed into the well and stanched the flow.
