Today In NOLA 9.26.15

There’s no shortage of things to do this Saturday in New Orleans. Tipitina’s teamed up with Galactic to produce The Landing Festival, which kicks off today. It’s Smithsonian Museum Day Live with free entrance to multiple museums. Celebrity Lea Michelle will sign her book, You First, at Garden District Book Shop, and NOLA on Tap will bring beer to the City Park Festival Grounds. On this day in 1997, Louisiana guitarist James Burton made it on to Hollywood’s Rock Wall. Now, more to do this Saturday.

This weekend's (slightly) cooler weather invited dog lovers to the City Park's Festival Grounds for NOLA on Tap, with over 200 brews to support the LASPCA. Over at Christian Unity Baptist (1700 Conti St.), New Orleanians got a chance to clean their records at the Justice and Accountability Center's expungement day. According to representatives for the event, approximately 350 of the 500 participants will come out of the "Clean Your Jacket" day rap sheet free.
