Saints 2016 Schedule

Ready for football yet? The Saints released their 2016 schedule on Thursday (4.14) night— and it’s a tough one. The Black n’ Gold were handed the fourth most difficult schedule (statistically) in the league.

"He Kept Giving Back"

Charles Grant Remembers Will Smith

From 2002 until 2009, defensive end Charles Grant helped the Saints stifle opposing offenses. For five of those years, Grant played alongside his friend and “brother” Will Smith. In the wake of Smith’s tragic death, Grant talked with NOLA Defender about the former Saints captain, New Orleans, and guns.

Saint's Shadow

Former Easton Football Star Charged in Will Smith's Murder

Beloved former Saints captain Will Smith was shot and killed following a minor traffic accident in the Lower Garden District on Saturday (4.09) night according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).

Saints' Scrimmages

It’s never too early for Who Dat Nation to get ready for some football. On Thursday (4.07), the Saints released their full schedule and plans for the preseason.

Oranges't Ya Coming? Ingram Courts Auburn Allumn

Almost exactly a year ago, Mark Ingram learned that he would remain a Saint. In the time since, the visibly relaxed running back has whole-heartedly embraced New Orleans. Now, he is even helping the Saints out in their effort to recruit free agent defensive tackle Nick Fairley.

Payton's Pay Day

As promised, Sean Payton is with New Orleans for the long haul. On Wednesday (3.23), the Saints head coach announced that negotiations are complete on his new contract.

Not So Elementary: Watson Out

Free agent deals can not be made official until Wednesday (3.09) at 3:00p.m. However, the Saints’ tight end carousel is already spinning again. A year after the shocking departure of Jimmy Graham, his replacement Ben Watson is leaving the Crescent City to play for the Baltimore Ravens according to the Baltimore Sun.

Colston Cut

Black n’ Gold hero Marques Colston was cut by the Saints after 10 seasons in New Orleans according to the NFL’s transaction wire.

Payton Preps for Pay

Despite the drama and speculation that has surrounded Louisiana football for the past six months, it appears that the key personnel will not change during the 2016 season. During a radio interview on Thursday (2.25), Sean Payton said that he is close to closing a contract extension and added that he expects Brees to be back as well.

Broken Record?

Christmas Day is all about about Jesus. Tonight (12.21) is all about Breesus. The 5-8 Saints were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday (12.20) night, but WhoDats will have plenty of reason to watch the Saints’ host the woeful Detroit Lions tonight. Number 9 is on the verge of breaking a handful of additional records.
