In this week's rundown of wrongdoing, there was a shooting in the 9th Ward, a man was robbed in the Riverbend, and the Ideal Mart in Mid-City was held up. Read on for more crime bits. 

Man Shot on Westbank; Suspect Wanted in Shooting Over Phone Charger

Around 8p.m. last night, NOPD responded to a “man down” call in the 1100 block of Thayer Street on the Westbank. Officers found an unidentified male in the middle of the road, suffering a gunshot wound to the head. The victim passed away at the scene. 

Crime Bits: Man Stabbed to Death in French Quarter, 4 Shot in 7th Ward

A man was killed in a French Quarter stabbing Wednesday night, police said. In the 7th Ward, four people were shot when someone opened fire on a car in motion.

Cyberstalking Suspect Sought by NOPD

NOPD detectives are looking for a cyberstalking suspect who threatened family members this week. Emerick Bultman, 48, e-mailed relatives on Aug. 6 and 7, saying he intended to kill them, police said.

Double Murder on I-10

Two men were killed in an early morning shooting on Interstate 10 in New Orleans East, police said. The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-10, just after the Crowder Blvd. exit.

NOPD Arrests 2 in Attack on Pizza Man

A pair of perps who popped the pizza man on Prieur were booked this week, police said. Milton McCoy and Quinn Jones were booked in connection with the July 1 attack, and two other suspects remain at large.

Squeal BBQ Burglary Suspects Sought (VIDEO)

NOPD is looking to smoke out the robbers who broke into Squeal Bar B Q early Wednesday morning on Oak St. Two suspects were caught on video in the midst of the heist.

Crime Bits: Craigslist Pot Bust, Ride Robbery

In this week's rundown of wrongdoing, a marijuana dealer became the second victim of JPSO's Craigslist crackdown, and NOPD released photos of a man who wanted more than gas money after giving another man a lift. Crime Bits for the weekend of Aug. 1-3:

Treme ATV Hit-and-Run Suspects Sought (VIDEO)

A woman remains in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash on N. Claiborne Ave. in Treme last weekend. Meanwhile, NOPD is searching for a man and woman who drove the ATV that injured 39-year-old Daphne Cola. Police released video in hopes that the public will help locate the suspects.

Heroin Ad on Craigslist Sends 3 Offline

Heroin's increasing hold on New Orleans spread to online outlets in one case this week. Three men were arrested Wednesday (7-29) in Metairie after responding to an ad for heroin on Craigslist, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office said Friday.
