Suspect Confesses to Elysian Fields Murder


Zachary Carpenter was shot and killed on Friday, May 10, and homicide detectives arrested a man today that confessed to the killing. The suspected gunman is 18-year-old Darryl Watson who has been charged with First Degree Murder. 


Monday Morning Murder on the I-10


Bullets flew on the I-10 in the early morning hours of Monday. In the end, one man was dead and another man was injured in an incident that apparently involved two separate cars, New Orleans police said. About 2:55 a.m., police received a call about multiple shots fired on the interstate in the westbound direction near the Metairie Road exit.


Cabbie Killed in Treme


Updated 3:45 p.m.

New Orleans police are investigating the fatal shooting of taxi driver Sheicho Delbar in Treme early Thursday morning. Officials received a call around 1 a.m. that a vehicle crashed into a tree around in the 900 block of North Johnson Street.


Man Arrested for Murder of 7th Ward Teen


Authorties made an arrest Tuesday in last week's killing of a teen in the 7th Ward. Police say Clifford Williams, 18, allegedly shot a 15-year-old man during an argument on Monday, March 25. The men were standing in two groups outside an apartment building in the 2100 block of Allen Street, police said. The 15-year-old was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.


Murder in Leonidas


A man was found shot on a Leonidas neighborhood sidewalk, and later died at the hospital in New Orleans' latest murder. The 18-year-old man was shot multiple times shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, according to New Orleans police. He was found near the corner of Eagle and Birch Streets, police said.


Person of Interest Sought in Treme Murder Case


New Orleans police are looking to speak with an unidentified man in connection with a weekend murder in Treme. About 5 p.m. Friday, a 30-year-old man was killed and a 39-year-old man was wounded by gunfire in the 2100 block of St. Ann St.


Crescent City Crime: Central City Murder, Arrests in N.O. East Slaying


A man was killed while driving a car in Central City Tuesday night. Meanwhile, NOPD officers made a pair of arrests and released new details on a Monday night murder in New Orleans East.


Man Killed in New Orleans East


New Orleans police are investigating a New Orleans East shooting that left one 28-year-old man dead. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 14000 block of Willowbrook Drive, officials said. The man’s name is being withheld pending the notification of his family.


Weekend Crime Bits: Mid-City Murder, Marigny Stabbing


A double shooting left a woman dead in Mid-City, and a man was cut during an attempted robbery in the Marigny Sunday, according to New Orleans police. In the stabbing incident, a man was attacked by a group of three men, one of whom was wielding a glass bottle.


Police Search for Wounded Man in Gert Town Murder (VIDEO)


New Orleans police are searching for a man involved in a Gert Town shooting that left a 21-year-old man dead Monday afternoon.The incident occurred in the 4100 block of Washington Avenue around 2:22 p.m., officials said. Police found Kendall Williams lying on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his face and body. He was declared dead at the scene.
