Defender Picks

Ali-Spinks in da Dome (Video)

On Friday (6.03), America and the boxing community lost a great. Muhammad Ali died at the age of 74 years-old according to a family spokesperson. Ali was a man who suffered several setbacks, but always pulled himself off the canvas and rose to higher heights—like the City of New Orleans. On September 15, 1978, Ali traveled to NOLA to defeat Leon Spinks and win the WBA Heavyweight belt for the third time.

Gator Swings By Super 8 for a Bite

They left the light on for 'em. Employees of a Super 8 in Port Allen got a reptillian visit yesterday when a 6 -foot alligator showed up at the front door. Reportedly, it did not have reservations. The Advocate reports police were called, but that didn't stop one man from carrying out his Swamp People fantasy and attempt to catch the gator. The beast bit the man, proving once again that it's unhelpful to listen to the bluster of Muhammad Ali, and especially not Chad Ochocinco.
