Teen Killed in Mid-City Triple Shooting

Updated 4-28, 9:45 a.m. 

A 17-year-old boy was killed in Mid City last night, according to NOPD. The incident occurred at an “unlicensed teen club” in the 800 block of N. Broad St. just after midnight. 

Crime Bits: Mid City Bank Robbery, Hummer Jacked

In today's rundown of wrongdoing, a bank was robbed in Mid-City, a Hummer was stolen from two people on a date in New Orleans East and two men pulled off a robbery by knocking on the front door. Click through for all of today's Crime Bits:

Suspect Sought in Ideal Mart Armed Robbery

Police have released photos of a suspect in the Ideal Mart (3340 Orleans Avenue) armed robbery that took place on Monday, January 6, around midnight. The man donned appropriate Twelfth Night attire for the robbery, with bright purple pants.  

Suspect Sought in Mid-City Armed Robbery

An armed robber is on the loose after holding up a Mid-City bar, according to NOPD. The suspect walked into DMac's (542 S. Jefferson Davis Parkway) Sunday night around 10:30p.m., apparently looking for a bite to eat. 

Murder in Mid-City

A man was killed in Mid-City Monday morning, marking the second shooting in the area near Bayou St. John in 12 hours. The man, whose name and age were not immediately released by police, was found shot in the 800 block of N. Dupre St. at about 8:10 a.m., according to NOPD.

Hospital Hitchhiker, Bourbon St. Stabbing, Robberies: Sept. 16-Sept. 23

In this week's inventory of villainy, robberies took place from the French Quarter to New Orleans East. Sunday, a man was stabbed on Bourbon St. That evening, a shooting in Faubourg St. John left a man in critical condition. More crime bits:

Good Samaritan Attacked, Car Trip Gone Wrong: Sep. 2-Sep. 9

In this week's bulletin of bad behavior, a good samaritan was attacked in his wheelchair, and another friendly driver was robbed of his vehicle. More misdeeds below. 

Updated: Bomb Threat at Traffic Court Cleared

A bomb threat forced a Monday afternoon evacuation at Tulane and Broad, according to New Orleans police. About 4pm, the threatening call was put into traffic court at the Orleans parish traffic court in Mid-City. The area has been cleared following a search, according to NOPD spokesman Garry Flot. 

St. Claude Murder, Mid-City Dog Walker Assaulted

Calvin Thomas was killed on June 8 in the St. Claude neighborhood, and police have identified a suspect in the murder. In Mid-City, a woman was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted on Thursday, June 6, while she was walking her dog.
