LSU Running Back Jeremy Hill Suspended After Bar Brawl

LSU football players have some of their brightest moments in Death Valley, but the opposite seems to be true for Tigerland, a popular cluster of bars near campus. Running back and former freshman phenom Jeremy Hill has been suspended indefinitely for allegedly knocking another man unconscious in a bar fight, according to the university.

NFL Draft Wraps: Saints Say Yes to the Dress, LSU Sets Record

Another NFL Draft is in the books, meaning the handicappers can get started on the Kentucky Derby. For the rest of us, there's some real live football to think about, and it's only...four months....away. Nevertheless, when the first whistle blows, there will be some new faces. On Saturday at the Draft, the Saints picked up a first skill player to go along with all the big guys, and LSU Tigers kept seeing their name called. Click through for a full rundown:

NFL Draft: Saints Pick Kenny Vaccaro, Keke to Cleveland

In the end, Keke wasn't even available for the Saints, so they looked to hook'em with the 15th pick. LSU's Barkevious Mingo went to Cleveland with the sixth pick in the NFL Draft, and the Saints selected Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro with their first round selection.

LSU Spring Game Set to Roar

The Saints' schedule was released this week, and another sign that football is around the corner comes Saturday. LSU's annual spring scrimmage kicks off in Tiger Stadium at 2 p.m. While there's a long time til the Mad Hatter starts dancing on the sidelines again, the game offers a chance to get a look at the new squad after the departure of a slew of key contributors.

Guilty Plea in LSU Bomb Threat, Boston Tragedy Brings Local Calls for Vigilance

Yesterday, William Bouvay Jr. pled guilty to calling in a bomb threat on the LSU campus in September 2012.  Still awaiting a sentence, Bouvay faces up to 28 years in prison.  Bouvay’s verdict comes just on the heels of yesterday’s devastating explosions in Boston, prompting the New Orleans Division of the FBI to address bomb and shooter concerns in Louisiana.

Neaux Sheaux: Student Sues LSU for Secretive Search

LSU was proud to announce their new Prez on March 27, but they're not spilling on how they selected him. Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Reveille, Andrea Gallo, is suing LSU for their “secretive search process” in approving F. King Alexander as their new Chancellor-President. Gallo sought the names of all applicants for the position, and the university denied her request.

LSU Football's Harlem Shake, and the Mad Hatter Mashup (VIDEO)

At last, we know what Les Miles was warming up for during that rant after the Ole Miss game. Sorry Russell Shepard, the Mad Hatter was getting meme-ready. Like the part of the campus that doesn't play football and seemingly everybody else on Earth before them, the LSU Fighting Tigers did their own version of the Harlem Shake recently. Click through to see the results, and a remix that might be even better.

LSU Livestreams Budget Cuts Meeting

State budget cuts mean big changes for public universities, and the Tigers are reorganizing and "streamlining" procedures as a part of their LSU 2015 campaign. Today at 10am, national and local experts are addressing the university’s task force in the university's Energy, Coast, and Environment Building. If you can’t be in the Red Stick, you can still watch from the comfort of your computer screen.

LSU, Tulane Do the Harlem Shake (VIDEO)

Over the last few weeks, a new dance craze is sweeping the nation. Don't worry, the Macarena hasn't returned. The Harlem Shake (not to be confused with this Harlem Shake) has everyone looking for roughly 30 seconds of fame on a YouTube video. It's even made its way to SoLA, where LSU and Tulane are getting down.
