Babylon, Chaos, Muses. Those three words roll off the tongue as if they were always meant to be together. They roll Uptown along the regular route, with Muses to begin at Jefferson and Magazine. Republic hosts a Mardi Gras Bounce show featuring Big Freedia smack dab in the middle of Carnival season. Led Zeppelin 2 pays homage to the historic rock band at the House of Blues. Singer Kina Grannis is at One Eyed Jacks, and dub heavy electronic master Kastle performs at the Hi Ho.

Robert Plant Belts in Bywater (VIDEO)

BJ's Lounge went on a Plant diet Monday night. Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant stopped in to the Bywater haunt to sit in with Guitar Lightnin' Lee and his Thunder Band. The rocker regaled the crowd with a few New Orleans R&B standards, and two videos have already emerged from the encounter.

Books On Tape


Hola Nola- and hola the 9th annual New Orleans Book Fair held on Frenchmen St. this November 6th. In honor of the beloved upcoming occasion, starting with the pre-fair party marrying the Sound and Cake Cafes (sound and cake, two crucial components to the reading process), this grouping of songs centers around literature as compositional inspiration.
