NOLAW Lenten Brawl Hits Howlin' Wolf Saturday Night by Mary-Devon Dupuy New Orleans Ladies Arm Wrestling (NOLAW) is doing its part for Lent tonight, as there will be plenty of giving up. The mighty women of NO LAW are heading to the Howlin’ Wolf at 8 p.m. to duke it out in the name of healthy pregnancy and childbirth. BERG v. BRAWLRoller Derby and Ladies Arm Wrestling Go Head to Head Last month, the Big Easy Roller Girls (BERG) kicked off the season on their home turf at UNO’s Human Performance Center. While a frequent derby attendee may expect the Pussyfooter cheerleaders or house band to front the halftime show, this bout went beyond its typical bounds. NOLAW (New Orleans Ladies Arm Wrestling) stopped in to brawl in between halves, marking the first collaboration between these two alternative sporting leagues. StrongarmedLadies' Arm Wrestling Turns Maison Inside Out MARIGNY - At Friday night's New Orleans Ladies Arm Wrestling bout, a packed house in the back of The Maison was reminded that dressing up an event can't stop chaos. Balls to the Wall - Sans Balls by Shay Sokol Tonight, brawny babes battle again! The New Orleans Ladies Arm Wrestling league will host its first tournament of the year at The Maison on Frenchmen St. Eight rowdy contestants will lock hands for glory and good cause. Free to watch, all bets go to the New Orleans Birthing Project, and a smaller amount will help fund NOLAW's dreams of not ever profiting as a true 501(c)(3).
