Still Fly: MSY to Build New Terminal

Non suburban New Orleanians are about to get some extra incentive to make the trek to Kenner. The Louis Armstrong International Airport is set to build a brand new North Side terminal. According to Mayor Mitch, the $826 million investment will generate 13,000 jobs and will draw new flights and businesses to MSY.

Crash and Burnout: Taxi Driver Slams Police Car, Busted with Pot

It was less than a quick get away. The St. Bernard Sheriff’s Office arrested a cab driver making a delivery of high-grade marijuana in Chalmette on Feb. 22 after he slammed into a sheriff’s vehicle, causing about $5,000 in damages to the law enforcement car.

Fireworks Fiasco Leaves Kenner Man with 'Massive Injuries'

As the boom of fireworks sounds off around New Orleans, a reminder comes in from Kenner that it's best to leave the explosions to Rocco. Late Tuesday night, a 19-year-old man had his hand "blown apart" and suffered "massive injuries" after a sparkler bomb exploded in his hands, according to a news release from Kenner police.

Bad Girls Club, Kenner: Ep.3 Live Blog

When we left the girls in Kenner (brah,) things were getting dicey, and Mardi gras was approaching. The girls move into Byron Scott's old mansion in Kenner; Judi attaches herself to an oversized, voodoo-stuffed enigma, spits on the other girls' pizza, and gets poured on by enough liquids to make a martini. Then Shelly coordinates a coup de Judi.

Outlaw Paw Paw Sought Payday

From Pretty Boy Floyd to Baby Face Nelson ,the FBI has a long history of giving bank robbers nicknames that make them sound more like guys you chased skirts with, and less like people who carry guns. But for their latest heistmaster, things have gone a little further into friendly territory. Hearing the latest nickname, "Paw Paw Bandit," kind of makes you want to sit on the guy's lap. Nevertheless, the unidentified man is alleged to have pulled off multiple robberies in Jefferson Parish, and authorities don't know who his name.

A Critical Line

Facing the Stage

NoDef's Drama Critic makes peace with unprofessional theatre.

Tri-Twister Touchdown

The National Weather Service likes to say conditions are ripe for tornadoes, but that doesn't actually mean we're going to see them, right? Like we need one more form of severe weather in this place. But, as the row of thunderstorms that woke us from our much-needed Ash Wednesday slumber came rolling through, twisters came along. Yes, multiple twisters. Three, in fact. Funnel clouds were spotted in Lacombe and Bush - both in St. Tammany Parish. As for the South Shore, a meteorologist spotted one outside Kenner. How does that mild weather dance go again?

Kenner Tops List of Least Bad Cities

At least Steven Seagal waited until a couple seasons were in the can to get kicked out of Jefferson Parish. Kenner officials found themselves in a pickle yesterday after angry residents infiltrated a meeting with producers of the Oxygen reality show "The Bad Girls Club." Would-be neighbors of the girls in Chateau Estates demanded that the show, which was to explore the nuances of seven women who were picked to get really angry at each other on TV, get the boot from filming in the former home of Hornets coach Byron Scott. After 24 hours to scour the books, Mayor Mike Yenni was apparently able to out-bad the girls.
