Watch: Queen Latifah Talks NOLA-Set 'Girls Trip’ With Jimmy Fallon


On Monday night, Queen Latifah appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss Girls Trip, her “uncuffed” rated-R movie. Set during Essence Fest, Girls Trip follows a group of college friends played by Latifah, Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, and Jada Pinkett Smith as they run wild through New Orleans.

Ansari Gives Full One Percent to Playing Jindal


In Louisiana, Bobby Jindal has long provided comic fodder. Recent single digit poll numbers have given national comics a few opportunities to get in on the fun(nies). In a Wednesday (11.04) night segment, Jimmy Fallon interviewed Jindal. More to the point, Fallon interviewed Aziz Ansari playing Jindal. 


Hannibal Buress Tours New Orleans on Tonight Show (VIDEO)


For better or worse, Jimmy Fallon's shows have been no stranger to Crescent City references. Now that he's the host of the Tonight Show, New Orleans is getting even more time in the spotlight. On Wednesday night, comedian Hannibal Buress dedicated a five minute stand-up set to the city he's visited multiple times over the past two years, with mentions of go-cups, a second line and a strange encounter at Coop's. The video is out, via NBC:


Preservation Hall Jazz Band Plays Jimmy Fallon (VIDEO)


Trombone Shorty may get the most air time, but the rising star is not the only NOLA export to get gigs on live tv. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band gave the young artist a run for his money last night on Jimmy Fallon. The world famous ensemble played a catchy track from their latest album That's It! Click through to watch. 


Dr. John Farfisas Around on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (VIDEO)


As promised, the forever-hip Dr. John turned in an appearance with the youngsters, including the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. Standing mostly still at the organ and wearing sunglasses, Mac was in perfect position to command the stage for the performance of "Revolution." As we've already been told very explicitly, ths track features The Night Tripper on the Farfisa organ for the first time since the 70s. Click through for video:
