Sending the Old Man Home: Margaritaville's Last Night

It's 5 o'clock somewhere...but not at Margaritaville on Decatur anymore. After 22 years of serving up cheeseburgers in paradise, the French Quarter staple locked up the doors for the very last time on Tuesday (6.30) night. Margaritaville  hosted many national acts including Jimmy Buffett, Jared Niemann, Zac Brown, Mac Mcanally and Thom Sheperd. Likewise, the local acts have had a great run at Margaritville and will be looking for other gigs in the area.

Decatur's Margaritaville to Close, B.B. King's In

Tourists will soon stop looking for their lost shaker of salt on lower Decatur Street. Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at Storyville is set close its doors on June 30. A B.B. King's Blues Club is slated to take over the space.
