Scratching the Snitch: Jeremy Shockey's Twitter Self-Vindication

Even though he didn't seem to have much love for the Saints earlier this year, Jeremy Shockey still apparently couldn't live with being known as a snitch in the WhoDat Nation. So, in the immediate wake of Sean Payton's one-game suspension yesterday, he decided to bring the news to his former coach. And, since it's Jeremy Shockey, he took to Twitter today, and produced a screenshot of the supposed text with Payton for a little self-vindication.

Goodell, Shockey and Bounty Blowback

Welp, it's been an interesting afternoon, New Orleans. While we were all tweeting and making T-shirts in reaction to the NFL's straitjacket-stiff bounty penalties, against the Saints, more news was coming out. Roger Goodell, who quickly became enemy no. 1 in New Orleans after he suspended Sean Payton for the entire year, took to the mic to talk about the penalties, and, at least if you believe what  Warren Sapp sort of said on Twitter, Jeremy Shockey was the reason this whole mess started in the first place.

Haters Denied

Why Two New Offensive Weapons Make the Saints Even Easier to Love

The successful Saints look much the same this year as they have in the last two campaigns, but two new pieces of the winning formula are not like their predecessors. NoDef Guest Writer Grandmaster Wang of moosedenied explains why that's good a thing.

NoDef Numbers, Oct. 12-19

Last week, Jeremy Shockey sent mixed Tweets, BP was revealed to be taking plays from the Dick Nixon playbook and, as ever, the candidates for lieutenant governor were rolling out "celebrities." Check out the stats that make the news tick in our latest edition of NoDef Numbers:

Shockey and Awe

It's been a while since Jeremy Shockey roamed our streets and played for our Saints, but the tatted tight end remains a fixation point, even when playing for the other team. During yesterday's black and gold game in Carolina, Shockey, who is now a Panther, was caught making an obscene gesture at the Black and Gold bench. Then, he passed on the built-in sports olive branch (and photo-op) that is the postgame handshake. All of this caused voice of the Saints faithful, Jim Henderson, to rip into the NFL veteran after the game.
