NOPD Officer Fights for Life After I-10 Crash


A New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) officer is fighting for her life after being hit by a suspected drunk driver while working an accident on Interstate-10 early on Sunday (6.05) morning according to NOPD Chief Michael Harrison.


Overnight Crime Report: Unclassified Death on Decatur, Shooting, Armed Robberies, Pedestrian Killed


On the final big day of tourist seson, the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) responded to an unclassified death, a mugging, a shooting, CVS stickup, and a pedestrian killed by a car according to the Major Offense Log (MOL) for Sunday (5.01).


Fatal Crash on I-10


An early morning traffic accident claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman. Three other people were hospitalized as a result of the wreck according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).


Corpse Found Under I-10 On-Ramp


A trash fire under the I-10 onramp resulted in a grizzly discovery. The New Orleans Fired Department (NOFD) said that wile responding to the small blaze, firefighters discovered a “badly decomposed” cadaver.


Fatal Motorcycle Wreck on I-10


An accident on the highway claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Saturday (1.16) morning. A 36-year-old man form LaPlace was the victim of the fatal wreck according to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).


Woman Arrested for Fatal Hit and Run


A 37-year-old woman is dead following a brutal hit and run. The New Orleans Police Department said that drunk driving was the cause and arrested the driver for Vehicular Homicide as well as the Hit and Run.


I-10 Crash Claims Life


A 23-year-old man is dead and an unidentified female driver is in critical condition after an early morning crash on I-10. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) said that the tragic outcome followed a high speed rear-ending.

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) are preparing to lay one of their own to rest. The Department announced plans for Officer Vernell Brown’s Saturday (7.25) funeral.

Sixth District Officer Vernell Brown is in serious condition after a response to a vehicle fire turned tragic. The 17-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) was hit by another car during the response.


Teen Found Dead on Side of Highway


A 16-year-old girl was found dead on an elevated portion of the I-10 last Thursday (6.04). Details are beginning to emerge as the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) investigates the incident.
