Sen. Mary Landrieu's Son Gets DWI on Bourbon Street

The 21-year-old son of U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu was arrested on DWI and hit and run charges on Bourbon Street early Thursday morning, according to NOPD. About 3 a.m., Connor Snellings, 21, was driving in the wrong direction on Bourbon Street. He then struck a pedestrian and kept going, police said.

Police Peg One of Their Own in LGD Hit-and-Run

Back in the fall, Officer Roger Jones allegedly drove away from the scene of a Lower Garden District crash where he slammed into a parked car. But his actions caught up with him today, when the 14-year NOPD vet was arrested, according to New Orleans police. The 38-year-old is accused of slamming into a parked car on Sept. 19, 2011, near the corner of Jackson and Magazine Sts., and fleeing the scene.

Pickup Truck Exposes Inner Workings of Justice

When a car hits the front of the Mother-in-Law Lounge, perhaps its fate, or some type of voodoo. But, for one pickup truck driver, hitting the DA's office seems to have taken a little more initiative. After driving over sidewalks and up steps, the pickup truck slammed into the front door of the Orleans Parish District Attorney's office Sunday. The truck then took off, providing the equation for a classic hit and run. Surveillance video obtaned by WWL-TV showed the turquoise truck driving up the stairs that lead to the office, and backing out when the deed was done. The driver left only a sideview mirror behind.
