C-Murder Appeal Rejected by SCOTUS

The highest court in the land won't be weighing in on the fate of C-Murder. The U.S. Supreme Court decided not to hear the local rapper appeal his 2009 murder conviction. C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, was convicted of second degree murder for killing 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas at a West Bank nightclub in 2002.

Lil Wayne Sued Back to Bedrock

It ain't easy bein' Weezy. First, Lil Wayne was sued by producers who worked with him because he allegedly didn't pay them. Now, he's being accused of stealing an entire song. Bed Rock was a huge hit for Wayne and Young Money comrades Nicki Minaj, Drake and Lloyd. But Done Deal Entertainment claims that they copyrighted the song, and that Mr. Carter and his record companies owe him $15 million. With the news spreading quickly this afternoon, average citizens began to ask themselves, "When do I get my piece of Lil Wayne?"

No Limit Soldier, Tre-8, Passes

A Saturday night car accident claimed the life of New Orleans rapper Tre-8. Da Paper reports the man who was born Walter McCallon died at a local hospital after the  Algiers accident. Five kin were in the car from him, but they all apparently survived. When he was 16 years old, Tre-8 was one of the earliest signings to the most successful incarnation of Master P's No Limit Records.
