Jazz Fest After Hours: 4.25.15

Whether you braved the rain at the Fest today or rested up during daylight, there are so many acts tonight, that it is like an entire second festival. Trombone Shorty is hosting an all-star Bash, The Meter Men are playing with Phish’s Paige McConnell. Galactic is at Tips. Dumpstaphunk, Mississippi Rail Company, the London Souls, and Colin Lake are just a few of the acts rounding out the evening. Click on though for a full roundup.

JazzFest After Dark: 5.2.14

Friday night is filled with Cajun music, French frills, and a whole lot of rock and roll following the day’s Jazz Fest events. The rager on the river is back for a second weekend. French influenced bands perform at Siberia and Gov’t Mule happily returns to the Saenger stage. Click through for more to do once the Fair Grounds close their gates.

Today in New Orleans 4.30.14

Tonight, funk greats come together in Lafayette Square for today’s Wednesdays at the Square, and local jazz artists are paying homage to John Coltrane. On this day in 1812, Louisiana officially became the 18 th state in the Union. Now, more to do this Wednesday.
