Grand Vile

Whether there's oil missing, droplets are floating at the bottom of the Gulf or mutant microbes are eating it off the surface, the eyes of people who live near the coast remain difficult to deceive. Today, tarballs are back onshore in Grand Isle. Louisiana Bucket Brigade tells WDSU-TV the washup is the worst since the initial crude onslaught. Following quickly behind are those umpteen guys in white suits, combing the beach for contamination. Maybe federal officials will start visiting en masse again just for old time's sake. Oh wait, there's one!
