Avalanche of Artist Announcements

Just in case you’re already craving for big name musical again, an avalanche of announcements might slake your thirst. Sturgill Simpson, Sia, a Yes-spinoff, Lynyrd Synyyrd, and Peter Frampton are all coming to town this fall.

Did the Halloween rain ruin your fall does of funk? Fear not, the City is due for an emergency injection of costumes, weirdness, and msuic. Quintron and Miss Pussycat just announced dates for their fall tour and NOLA will host the final show.

Lineup Reveal: Jazz in Armstrong Park

Tis’ the season for lineup announcements. Today, People United for Armstrong Park (PUFAP) rolled out the fall schedule for their Jazz in the Park series. The free series running from September 3 through October 29 will include performances by Jon Cleary, Partners N' Crime, Little Freddie King, and the Raw Oyster Cult amongst others.

Soon, the humidity will yield to humanity and autumn will arrive bringing with it a cavalcade of culture. The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) are making preparations for the city’s annual reboot. Today, the French Quarter institution released the schedule for the eighth annual Concerts in the Courtyard series. The event Gal Holiday and the Honkey Tonk Revue, Banu Gibson and Little Freddie King.

A excellent fall week is in store for our area. Cool air and dry high pressure will be reinforced as a cold front moves through the area Tuesday and Wednesday. With little moisture to work with no rain is expected as the front passes through. 

Weekly Weather & Tropical Outlook: 10.13-10.17

Fall returns this week. A strong cold front will push through the area tonight bringing some strong to possibly severe thunderstorms. Chnace of rain is 6o percent today and 90 percent tonight. The rest of the week is looking very nice with cool overnight lows in the  mid 60's and daytime highs only in the mid 70's.

Weekly Weather & Tropical Outlook: 9.29-10.03

Scattered afternoon and evening showers this afternoon through tonight  are a distinct possiblity with highs near 80, and lows overnight in the low 70's. Not much change is expected through Thursday with a 30 percent chance of rain each day. Come Friday, the first real Fall Cold Front will push through into the Gulf and bring overnight lows in the mid 50's to North Shore and low 60's to the South Shore this weekend.
