Jindal Logic

Bobby Jindal has not been relevant to the national political scene for years, but that did not stop the former Louisiana governor from launching a quixotic bid for the Republican nomination. Apparently, the politico formerly known as Candidate J finally got the memo. In a Friday (5.06) interview with CNN, he stated that he would not be attending the GOP convention in Cleveland.

David Duke Salutes the Donald

Perhaps, Hillary Clinton should consider borrowing Edwin Edwards’ legendary “Vote for the Crook. It’s Important” slogan. EWE’s old nemesis, David Duke, has been buddying up to Clinton’s presumed opponent Donald Trump lately. On Wednesday (5.04), Duke used his radio show to shower Trump with praise as well as rattle off several anti-semitic conspiracy theories.

Livingston Plays Trump Card

On Monday (3.21), Donald Trump headed to Washington D.C. to meet with the G.O.P. establishment and smooth over his running feud. While the results of the short-fingered vulgarian’s address to AIPAC remains to be seen, The Donald did pick up an endorsement from Metaire Republican Bob Livingston.

H-Bomb: Mitch Endorses Hillary

Mayor Mitch is not feeling the Bern. On Wednesday, Landrieu weighed in on the Democratic primary. In a written statement, the Mayor threw his support behind Hillary Clinton and likened Bernie Sanders platform to the “tooth fairy.”

Vitter Fight

The enemy of my enemy is my friend? Republican Jay Dardenne crossed party lines today to endorse Democrat John Bel Edwards in the runoff election against Senator David Vitter.

Trump's Duck In Hand

Bobby Jindal does not have much support at home. Now, the Candidate J is losing followers from his small base. This week, Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson defected from Candidate J to the Trump camp.

Right of Way: Rand Paul Backs Vitter for Gov'

While Louisiana’s Governor seems focused on the GOP’s presidential primary, one likely bold faced name in that election is turning his attention to Louisiana’s gubernatorial race. On Tuesday (2.10), Senator Rand Paul officially endorsed fellow senator David Vitter for the job.

Wisdom of Elders: Landrieu Picks Up Senior Endorsement

By Ashley Larsen

The gloves are coming off in the senate race. Mary Landrieu received the endorsement of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare (NCPSSM) yesterday, October 21st. NCPSSM is one the largest advocacy groups to protect the federal benefits for seniors in the country. Max Richtman, the President and CEO of the coalition, presented Landrieu with a pair of boxing gloves at the event in New Orleans to help prepare her to “fight” for Social Security and Medicare.
