New Orleans once again outpaces the rest of the region in the Best Chef: South category, and will see one of her own earn recognition for giving something back.

Immediately following Emeril Lagasse’s Boudin and Beer Festival, Lagasse switches venues and alcohol for Saturday’s 8th annual Carnivale du Vin.  The gala and wine auction, a far cry from Cajun sausage and Abita beer, takes place in La Nouvelle Ballroom in the New Orleans Convention Center and benefits the Emeril Lagasse Foundation.
