Mayor Mitch Stumps For Hillary (Video)

Mayor Mitch took a break from local politics to dip his toes into the national pool this weekend. Landrieu headed to South Carolina where he stumped for Hillary Clinton on Saturday (2.20) and Sunday (2.21).

H-Bomb: Mitch Endorses Hillary

Mayor Mitch is not feeling the Bern. On Wednesday, Landrieu weighed in on the Democratic primary. In a written statement, the Mayor threw his support behind Hillary Clinton and likened Bernie Sanders platform to the “tooth fairy.”

Trump Swings in the Red Stick

The antiestablishment refrains were there also. “Politicians are all talk and no actions. These politicians — the blood suckers, I call them the blood suckers — we’ve got to get rid of them.”

The Year in Jindal

Bobby J's Top Quotes in 2015

Bobby Jindal did not spend much of 2016 in Louisiana. Still, local voters received a hearty serving of soundbites from da Gov’. With his term nearing an end and his ill fated campaign rolled up, we won’t have too much Bobby in 2016. So, NoDef is looking back at our favorite Jindal quotes from 2015 on everything from Trump to discrimination.

Have A Cao Man

The race to replace David Vitter in the U.S. Senate is getting crowded. On Tuesday (12.15), former Congressman Anh Joseph Cao shot off an email to supporters that detailed his plans to seek the soon-to-be vacant office on Capitol Hill.

Flicks' Picks

There is no quiet on the set in Louisana right now. Big cuts to big screen tax credits are creating a big noise. In an effort to restore the lucrative inentive program, IATSE 478 issued a list of endorsements for Saturday's (11.21) election.

Jindal Out

Well, that’s four years down the drain. On Tuesday (11.17) afternoon, Bobby Jindal announced that he will be suspending his presidential bid. With poll numbers in the low single digits and flagging finances, the move came as a surprise to few.

Jindal's Juicebox

Bobby Jindal is not making much of a splash on the national stage as evidenced by his one percent poll numbers. Candidate J tried to change that last night at Fox Business’ kiddie table debate. Unfortunately, da Gov’ wound up a punchline again. Instead, of garnering attention for policy, he set social media aflame for a moment about “juice boxes.”

Bel Lobs: Edwards Gets In Mud

David Vitter is almost synonymous with harsh, mud slinging attack ads. During this weekend’s LSU-Alabama fiasco, the senator got a taste of his own medicine. Democratic contender John Bel Edwards unleashed a vicious television spot attacking Vitter for his past problems with prostitution and a missed vote in Congress.
