Bywater Celebrates 10,000th Post-Flood Tree This Week by Brad Rhines More and more folks have been putting down roots in New Orleans during recent years, as groups have branched out around the city in a commitment to expanding local green spaces. On Thursday, neighbors will gather in the Bywater to celebrate the planting of the 10,000th tree since the storm and floods of 2005 marred many of New Orleans’ landscapes.
