Murder in the East, Streetcar Shooting



Seven people were shot in New Orleans over a 32-hour stretch that began just after midnight on Sunday (6-22), police said. The gush of gunfire claimed the life one of the victims, who was shot early Morning morning in eastern New Orleans.

On Monday night and Tuesday morning, NOPD investigated a murder in New Orleans East, and a pair of downtown robberies. Elsewhere, a woman was carjacked at a red light. Details in Crime Bits:


Crime Bits, WestBank Edition: Drug Bust Follows Shooting, Lil Hen on the Loose


Lil Hen and Toots are at-large, and another pair were arrested on drug charges following a weekend shooting, police said. The NOPD's 4th District, which covers Algiers, released the following details on crimes committed from May 31-June 4.
