French Quarter Bank Robbed Monday Afternoon

The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Whitney Bank at 400 Chartres St. on Monday (4.24) afternoon. According to the NOPD's live social media updates, officers first responded to the scene at around 2:26PM. 


Overnight Crime Report: Four Robberies, Two Rapes, Car Jacking, Attempted Robbery, Shooting, Stabbing


The New Orleans Police Department saw ten crimes hit the city on Sunday (4.23). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to three armed robberies, simple car jacking, two aggravated rapes, attempted armed robbery, a shooting, simple robbery, and a stabbing.

The New Orleans Police Department saw seven crimes hit the city on Saturday (4.22). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to a stabbing, two aggravated rapes, two shootings, an armed robbery, and property snatching. 


Woman Missing At New Orleans Ferry


A 34-year-old woman has been missing since Thursday, April 20, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Ashley Rodi-Cheneau was last seen by a family member at around 7:00PM. She was at the Algiers Ferry Terminal at 101 Morgan St. She has not been seen or heard from by relatives since then, according to NOPD.

NOPD Searches for Two Runaway Juveniles


The New Orleans Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating a 10-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, who went missing this week in unrelated incidents.

Turns out those security checkpoints did not yield many results at all. The New Orleans Police Department saw just three crimes hit the city overnight, starting Thursday (4.20). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to a stabbing, an armed robbery, and an unclassified death. 


NOPD Releases Surveillance Footage of French Quarter Rape Suspect


The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Special Victims division released a surveillance video of an unknown male suspect in connection with a sexual assault in the French Quarter. As NoDef previously reported, the incident occurred during the early morning hours of April 16 on the 1400 block of Chartres Street. 


Will Smith's Killer Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison


Former Crescent City Kings player Cardell Hayes was convicted Thursday in the slaying of beloved Saints captain Will Smith. Hayes silently accepted the sentence of 25 years in prison on charges of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter in the incident that left Smith dead and Smith’s wife Racquel suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. The sentencing comes just days after the one year anniversary of Smith’s death.
