Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo' Include New Orleans on Legendary Tour


TajMo, a supergroup band led by Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo', will play the Orpheum Theater on September 24. Presented by WWOZ and Winter Circle Productions, the show will see two generations of blues guitar giants play hit songs from their respective catalogues as well as new material they've recorded together.


Hanson is Coming to NOLA on Their 25th Anniversary World Tour


Ladies, practice your fangirl screams. Hanson, the 90s pop group composed of three brothers with those luscious blonde locks, is coming to town. Announced Monday, the band’s Middle of Everywhere 25th Anniversary World Tour will take them to the Joy Theater stage on September 15.


Avalanche of Artist Announcements


Just in case you’re already craving for big name musical again, an avalanche of announcements might slake your thirst. Sturgill Simpson, Sia, a Yes-spinoff, Lynyrd Synyyrd, and Peter Frampton are all coming to town this fall.


City Park Drops "Thursdays at Twilight" Lineup


As Fest Season enters the final leg, New Orleans is looking ahead to the popular outdoor concerts that provide our weekly dose of live music. Today, City park dropped the lineup for their “Thursdays at Twilight” series. Bruce Daigrepont, John Boutté, and the Pfister Sisters are just a few of the familiar names on the roster.


Cathedral Christmas Concerts Commence


In New Orleasn, music is religion. And once a year, that mantra becomes a littlle more literal. Christmas New Orleans Style's holiday concerts in the St. Louis Cathedral begin again tonight (12.1) and continue though December 20th.

The popular Wednesdays at the Square free concerts are nearing an end, but locals are savoring the series while it lasts. Yesterday (6.04), crowds turned out to check out badass bass George Porter and his Runnin' Pardners along with openers the Pocket Aces Brass Band. Andres Delmonte was on hand to capture all of the action.


Wednesdays On The Point Schedule Reveal


Right after Wednesday at the Square wraps their spring season, the good people of Algiers take over the slot. Today, the schedule for Wednesdays on the Point was released. Jon Cleary, Rebirth and Bonerama are just a few of the names on the roster.

Treme Tunes: Spring 2015 Armstrong Park Concert Schedule Released


Tis’ the season for lineup announcements. Today, People United for Armstrong Park (PUFAP) rolled out the spring schedule for Jazz in the Park. The free series running from April 16 through June 11 will include performances by Kermit Ruffins, Soul Rebels, Honey Island Swamp Band, Raw Oyster Cult, James Andrews, The Honorable South, Glen David Andrews and New Breed Brass Band.


Idol Idles, Crue's Krewe Coming


Retro fans received mixed news today. Eighties icon Billy Idol was forced to postpone his Wednesday (1.21) show at the House of Blues. However, music lovers may find some consolation in an announcement by Motley Crue that the band will include a NOLA stop in their final tour.
