La-SPCA Builds Memorial to the Federal Flood's Pets

As the city comes closer to the tenth anniversary of the devastation brought upon the region by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, memorials to the storm are popping up across the city. One such memorial will be a community art display hosted by the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals La-SPCA). The display will act not only as a way to remember the animal lives that were lost in the storm, but also as a fundraiser to give collars and microchips to the thousands of animals that the SPCA cares for each year.
