Pack to Pack: Crowded Lineup Slated for Hildegard Benefit

By Lucy Leonard

Musicians have plenty of fears from crooked industry folk to bathrooms on the road, but their worst fear is losing their gear. For the New Orleans band Hildegard, this nightmare came all too true while the band was on tour in San Francisco. On May 28, the group’s van was broken into and over twenty instruments and amps were stolen. The band reported that some of the gear that was stolen was rare, vintage and custom-made. Tonight, The Howlin’ Wolf and Live For Live Nola will host a “Pack The Van” benefit concert to help Hildegard pay for their new gear.
