Mailbag: NOPD Must Embrace Project NOLA


Crime is on the rise and so are the surveillance cameras that let locals stream videos of violence at the click of a mouse. Bryan Lagarde of Project NOLA, a crime camera advocacy group, says that if the police worked better with his organization crime might be on the decline. The NOPD Wants You


Crime has been making quite the stir in New Orleans of late, and the understaffed NOPD has caught the heat. Chief Michael Harrison appeared before the City Council today (2.5) to update the public on the state of the New Orleans Police Department. As the Council patiently listened, the Superintendent offered a report on progress to the public.
