Today in NOLA 2.25.17Take a break from all the fests and feasts happening this weekend, and check out some of the unique cultural events around town this Saturday. Comedy legend Chris Rock is blowing up the Saenger tonight. Film society Caravan Cinema will screen a 1990s cult comedy, starring RuPaul and “Orange is the New Black” star Natasha Lyonne, for free in the French Quarter. The geniuses over at Howlin Wolf combine emerging art and breakfast foods, while Fleur de Tease offerings their burlesque retelling of Alice in Wonderland. The Dixiana Bakery, famous for its Sarah Bernhardt Cake (rich wine cake with nuts, red apple jelly glaze and whipped cream) celebrated it’s grand reopening on this day in 1950.
