D-Day at the National World War II Museum (PHOTOS)
The National World War II Museum marked the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion at Normandy Friday with a full day of activities, culminating with an outdoor screening of Tom Hanks' Band of Brothers miniseries. The commemoration continues Saturday with a panel of WWII historians, tours of the museum's Higgins Boat and more. Photographer Brandon Robert was on the ground at the Museum Friday:

The banks of Bayou St. John are once again colored over in Mid-City, as the Bayou Boogaloo got underway Friday night to large crowds. Music from Big Freedia, King James and the Special Men and Nigel Hall got the crowd ready to fest again. Despite big crowds, the fest managed to keep its neighborhood feel with plenty of families, homeade vessels and many a friendly pet. Photos and a Saturday planner below:

Under mild skies, the Mardi Gras Indians donned their suits and took to the streets Wednesday (3/19) for their most important event this side of Fat Tuesday.

It may have been cold and wet, but the Zulu Social Aide and Pleasure Club made sure Mardi Gras spirits were raised on the route Tuesday morning.

Second Line: Ladies and Men of Unity (Photos)
The Ladies and Men of Unity stepped out in Central City this afternoon. The parade began and ended at Second and Danneel Sts., and the theme this year was "Back in Stride, Keeping it Simple." The Sophisticated Ladies of Class, the Brothers of Change and the Men of Integrity walked along with the group.

Hordes of costumed carousers took to the streets of New Orleans on Halloween, and, as ever, the center of the action was in the Vieux Carre. The annual Halloween parade at Molly's at the Market served as the focal point, but the crowds offered just as much to look at as the marchers. Brandon Robert's lens was onhand to take in the action:

Crescent Wenches vs. Cajun Rollergirls
The Crescent Wenches lost to the fellow Louisiana derby team, the Cajun Rollergirls, on Saturday, September 21. The final score was 237-146, making it a relatively close bout. Brandon Robert captured the action.
