Bourbon St. Beater Booked with BatteryUpdate 2:30 p.m. New Orleans police arrested a man involved in a Saturday morning Bourbon Street beatdown. William Busker, 22, was apprehended after beating a man until he was unconscious, according to records filed in Orleans Parish Municipal Court. Police said Busker, of Pearlington, Miss., was allegedly trying to buy cocaine in a strip club around 5:57 a.m. in the 300 block of Bourbon St. Suspects Sought in Brutal Bottle Beating Near Friendly Bar (VIDEO)New Orleans police are seeking the public’s help in identifying three suspects allegedly involved in a Sunday morning fight outside a Marigny bar. A witness said he saw a group of three or four men standing at the corner of Chartres and Marigny streets, outside The Friendly Bar around 4:45 a.m., officials said. Bourbon Beatdown Caught on TapeIt was a harmless rendition of that old throw-the-guy's-phone-on-the-roof prank that ended with someone unconscious. In the 900 block of Bourbon St. on April 1, two men found a phone on a table, and decided to throw it on the roof and let it fall to the ground. It broke. According to police, the man returned later to find the phone, and beat one of the men until he was out cold. Police are looking for the man, who rendered injuries that resulted in facial surgery to the cell slinger. Video of the incident compiled by NOPD is after the jump, and it's pretty ugly. Arrest Warrants Issued For LSU QB, LinebackerSeems the other pair of shoes has dropped for Jordan Jefferson. With the football season set to get underway, an arrest warrant was issued for the senior LSU starting quarterback this morning. Baton Rogue police are set to charge Jefferson and LSU linebacker Joshua Johns with second-degree battery in connection with a bar fight in Baton Rogue that occurred early on August 19. The charges are felonies. Jefferson is alleged to have kicked a man in the face. The name of the bar was Shady's. And you thought Les Miles made some questionable decisions... |
